Changes in the procedure for declaring drug prices

Changes to the procedure for declaring drug prices will come into effect on June 12, 2026.

The State Medicines Agency (ZVA) informs that amendments to Cabinet Regulation No. 803 will enter into force on June 12, 2026. “Regulations on the principles of drug pricing“ regarding the procedure for declaring drug prices.

Several changes will come into effect under these Amendments.

• Marketing authorisation holders and their authorised representatives will only have to update information on the declared price of medicines once a year, namely by 1 January for the prices that will come into effect on 1 January, thus reducing the administrative burden. Previously, the information had to be provided twice a year on the first date of the half-year (1 January and 1 July).
• Clarified deadlines from calendar days to working days, respectively:
  • Instead of 7 days – 5 working days;
  • Instead of 15 days – 10 working days;
  • The wording in brackets is deleted, eliminating the contradiction between the specified 5 working day period and notification no later than the day of notification, which makes it difficult to understand and apply the aforementioned norms.
